A cardboard analog film enlarger that brings the darkroom to your home.

What is Macro?

Macro is a cardboard photo enlarger, which takes the technology of expensive industrial equipment and transforms it into a portable, affordable, and easy-to-use alternative. Macro enables both enthusiast and beginner photographers to create beautiful analog prints of their film photographs at home using cardboard and their own camera lens.

The Design Process

Macro was designed and developed as part of my senior capstone project as a Product Design student at Stanford University. I worked alongside 2 other designers throughout the project.

The development of this project included a full design process, starting with user interviews and needfinding, then transitioning to prototyping, user testing, and finally developing a final product.
